In honor of Blue Mountain Community College’s first-ever women’s soccer program, BMCC will host a field dedication and program inauguration ceremony on Saturday, Oct. 29, in conjunction with the team’s match against Yakima Valley Community College.
The event will include a free community barbecue lunch.
The event begins at 11 a.m. with a special flag ceremony with the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation (CTUIR), introduction of Head Coach Art Mota and his team, and a dedication of the newly-renovated BMCC soccer field.
The community is invited to the free event, which includes a barbecue lunch, courtesy of the BMCC Athletics Department and BMCC Foundation. Limited edition BMCC soccer scarves, t-shirts and fleece blankets will be available for purchase. The game against Yakima Valley begins at noon.
