The Boardman Chamber of Commerce will host a benefit dinner for Boardman Police Department Office Manager Butch Parrish on Wednesday, Sept. 26. The event is from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Boardman Senior Center, 100 Tatone St.
Parrish was injured in the line of duty as a Stanfield police officer in 1994 and was left paralyzed. His health has worsened over the past few months and he is facing a major surgery.
Dinner prices are $10 for adults and $5 for kids 12 and under. The meal includes spaghetti, garlic bread, salad and dessert. Those who are unable to attend but would still like to donate can go to any Banner Bank location and contribute to the Butch Parrish Recovery Fund.
