The Boardman City Council approved a request for a business directory sign downtown at its meeting on Tuesday.
Councilors gave the go-ahead for the Boardman Chamber of Commerce to put up business directory signage at the intersection of Main Street and N.W. Front Street. The chamber received a grant for the project, but needed council approval to proceed.
In other council business, an ordinance regarding the Umatilla Electric franchise was tabled until the next council meeting. Also tabled was a resolution regarding a four-way stop at the intersection of Faler Road and Mt. Hood Avenue. Councilors will be revisiting this issue during their next meeting.
The council also voted to change the date of its next regularly-scheduled meeting from Jan. 1 to Jan. 8.
