The candidate for the Boardman city manager job has withdrawn her name from consideration, according to the city of Boardman.
The city had extended a conditional offer of employment to Elke Doom of Huron Township, Mich., but Doom rescinded her name from consideration.
According to the city, the Boardman City Council will work to decide how to proceed in filling the vacancy in a timely manner.
The city began working with Strategic Government Resources in Keller, Texas in September to recruit candidates for the job vacated with Karen Pettigrew resigned to serve on the city council.
In January, the city announced three finalists – Doom, Sharon Jakubowski Wolz of Kearney, Ariz., and Aaron Palmquist of Irrigon.
The city announced in early February that it was entering into negotiations with one of the candidates.
