The Boardman Clerk’s Office reminds residents that the official candidate filing period for the Nov. 6, 2018 election is quickly approaching.
The city has three councilor positions open for election this year. Interested parties must be at least 18 years of age and reside within the city limits. They must have also lived within the city limits 12 months immediately preceding election day and registered to vote no less than 20 days immediately preceding the election.
Residents who wish to file for city council can come to Boardman City Hall to pick up filing packets Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The deadline for filing for city council is 5 p.m., Aug. 28, 2018.
