The city of Boardman has two candidates for its open city manager position.
The candidates chosen for interviews are Brandon R. Hammond of Medford, and Lawrence Lee Shepherd of Wenatchee, Wash.
The position became open in January when Karen Pettigrew stepped down in January to take a seat on the Boardman City Council.
On Thursday, the city will conduct interviews for the two candidates and follow up with a
community Meet & Greet at the SAGE Center. The Meet & Greet starts at 5:30 p.m. and runs to 7 p.m. Community members will have the opportunity to meet the candidates and fill out comment cards for the city council to review when considering the candidates for the position.
The city is hopeful sometime in May to announce the name of the new city manager.
