The 12th annual Boardman Quilt Show is set for Oct. 7-8 at the Boardman Senior Center.
As always, the show, which takes place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 7-8, will contain many quilts, some from club members, and some made by quilters from the surrounding area. Those interested in displaying a quilt at the show should contact Aunty Ida’s Quilt Shop at 435 W. Hermiston Ave., in Hermiston, or call Lila Killingbeck at 541-481-9426 for entry forms.
The raffle quilt for 2016 is queen size and has a Christmas fabric theme. Along with door prizes, the show will include lunch and pie and homemade soft pretzels. Quilt vendors will also be in attendance.
The featured quilter for this year is Kathy Hyder of Boardman who started quilting in 2008 after she retired from the Morrow County School District.
The Boardman Quilt Group donated 14 comfort quilts to Martha’s House in spring of 2016 and over 12 comfort quilts were sent to Fort McMurray in Canada to help families recover from this spring’s fires.
