There is still time to enter a quilt in Boardman’s 9th Annual Quilt Show. The event is being held at the Port of Morrow Convention Center on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 11-12, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost of admission is $3 and lunch will be available for purchase.
Come and see the quilts from area quilters and the antique sewing machine display. There will also be a raffle quilt, a country store, many vendors and door prizes.
Rose Gutierrez won last year’s People’s Choice Award. Be sure to vote for your favorite at this year’s show. The featured quilter will be Glenda Bozarth who has been quilting for more than 20 years. Her first quilt was a portrait quilt to give to her parents for their 50th wedding anniversary.
Also, after taking in the quilt show you can stroll along the Columbia River walkway in Boardman. To enter a quilt or get more information, call Kathy Morgan at (806) 268-3455 or Marge Shankle at (541) 481-3633.
