The city of Boardman wants a new motto and is holding a contest to pick the winner.
Those participating are asked to create a short phrase that describes what’s special about the community.
Boardman’s current motto is “On the river, on the way.”
Submissions must be turned in at Boardman City Hall by Friday, Dec. 1. Winners will be announced on Tuesday, Dec. 5.
Gift cards will be awarded to the top four selections and the grand prize winner will receive shirts, a laser engraved trophy and a $300 cash prize.
