The Boardman Chamber of Commerce will recognize the many residents who contribute their time and demonstrate their support for the city at the 29th annual Distinguished Citizen Awards Banquet on Friday, Feb. 15. Categories are Business Person of the Year, Citizen of the Year, Youth Citizen of the Year, Educator of the Year, Fire and Safety Award and Pioneer Award.
The event takes place at the Port of Morrow Riverfront Center, 2 Marine Drive. The evening begins with a cocktail reception at 6 p.m., and dinner follows at 7 p.m. There will be a no-host bar. Tickets are $40 per person and are available at Boardman Hardware and the chamber office. Attire for the event is business cocktail.
