Today at 6:30 p.m., the Pirate Youth Football Club of Boardman will celebrate the expansion of their program as they receive a grant check from Tillamook Creamery’s Michael Graham, director of plant operations in Boardman.
Along with the approval of the Boardman City Council, the grant will make possible the conversion of the soccer field at the Splash Pad Park into a multisport field with football goal posts and fan bleachers.
All football players, parents, coaches and volunteers are encouraged to join the event at the field at Northeast Front Street.
