Robert Jean Antoine passed away on June 27, 2024 in Hermiston at the age of 76.

Born on Sept. 8, 1947 at Silverton Hospital, Robert, affectionately known as Bob, led a life marked by dedication to his community and a deep love for his family.

Bob completed his high school education at Mt. Angel High School and furthered his studies with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Mt. Angel. He dedicated over 30 years to law enforcement at the Springfield Police Department, a testament to his commitment to public service.

Bob was a member of Stanfield Baptist Church, where he actively participated in community and spiritual life. His personal hobbies included woodworking and crafting leather goods, skills at which he excelled, creating many beautiful objects in his workshop.

Known for his jovial spirit, Bob was a practical joker whose humor was a source of joy for his friends, family, and colleagues. However, he was also the first to admit that his humorous remarks sometimes got him into trouble.

Bob is survived by his wife, Jean and his children, Katrina, Nicolas, and Patrick.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Karla; his daughter, Tara; his grandson, Levi; and his brother, Ron.

Bob’s life and laughter have left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew him, and he will be deeply missed.

A celebration of life service will be held at Stanfield Baptist Church later in July.
