Robert Lee “Bob” Fowler of Walla Walla, Wash. passed away on Nov. 29, 2021 in Walla Walla, Wash. at the age of 69.

He was born on Sept. 16, 1952 in Boise, Idaho.

Bob was a gift to his parents, Juanita Grace Saddler and Keith Edgar Fowler. He grew up with his brothers, Bill, Ron and John and his sister, Kay. Bob had an amazing childhood growing up in the Idaho-Oregon region. He graduated from Estacada High School in 1970. Bob joined the United States Navy right out of high school, where he found a life of travel and adventure. He had two amazing sons, Robert K. Fowler and Bryan Lee Fowler. However, the ocean called back to Bob and he decided to re-join the Navy for another five years.

Bob had a lot of friends who traveled with him all over the West Coast. For years he lived a traveling life, but time took its toll and Bob knew it was time to settle down. Bob decided to live in Walla Walla, Wash., where he decided to go to college and get his degree in counseling, specializing in narcotics and alcohol. He was huge into working with veterans who had struggled with drugs and alcohol. Bob joined the NA group in Walla Walla, where he helped so many people overcome their addiction and supported those who needed encouragement and just someone to listen.

Bob left behind an extremely large family, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and too many cousins to count.

Bob’s last years were surrounded by his sons, a grandson, daughters-in-law, family and friends.

We will miss him very much. “We will see you later, Bob.”

A family gathering will be held.
