The Umatilla County Courthouse was evacuated Tuesday afternoon after a bomb threat was called in, but no explosives were found, according to the Pendleton Police Department.
At 12:40 p.m., Umatilla County Emergency Dispatch received a bomb threat forcing the courthouse evacuation. The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Department, the Pendleton Police Department and court security responded to the incident.
Pendleton Police Chief Stuart Roberts said the caller was a male, but because it was made on pre-paid mobile phone, it will be difficult to track down the person who made the call.
Roberts said the call came from Pendleton.
