Bulldogs Defeat Hanford, 22-21

The Hermiston Bulldogs won their second straight game Friday night in a comeback road win over the Hanford Falcons, 22-21.

With just over three minutes left in the game and trailing by six, senior quarterback Chase Elliott hit Caden Hottman on a 50-yard pass to give Hermiston the lead late.

After a scoreless first quarter, Hermiston got on the board with a field goal to take a 3-0 lead into the locker room. Hanford (1-8 overall, 1-7 in league play) took the lead, 7-3, in the third quarter before both teams combined to score 33 points in the fourth quarter.

Elliott finished the night with 282 yards in the air, completing 22 of 28 passes with three touchdowns – one each to Hottman, KJ Ramirez and Ben Larson.

With the win, Hermiston improves to 2-7 overall and 2-6 in the Mid-Columbia Conference.

The Bulldogs finish the season on Friday with a home game against Ridgeline.
