After struggling offensively a week ago against Mountain View, the Hermiston Bulldogs rolled past Summit Friday night, chalking up a 34-14 road win to even their record at 2-2.

Hermiston’s Andrew James had the best game of the season, connecting on 17-of-20 passes for 256 yards and 3 touchdown passes. James also led the Bulldogs with 84 yards rushing.

Hermiston scored twice in each of the first two quarters to take a 28-14 lead into halftime. The Bulldogs racked up 500 total yards on offense and managed 21 first downs on the night to Summit’s 8.

Dayshawn Neal had a huge night for Hermiston, catching 14 passes for 206 yards and two touchdowns. Neal caught all but three of Hermiston’s completions on the night. Tyler Rohrman scored on a 24-yard touchdown pass from James. Senior running back Peter Earl scored a pair of rushing touchdowns for Hermiston.

Hermiston’s offensive explosion was a welcome change from a week ago, when they were held to just 7 points against Mountain View.

The Bulldogs will return home for a game next Friday against Hood River Valley. Summit (2-2) will defend its home turf against Mountain View.
