Bulldogs Run Past Pasco, 63-35

Chase Elliott threw for five touchdowns Friday as the Hermiston Bulldogs snapped a seven-game losing streak and won the first game of the season over the Pasco Bulldogs, 63-35, at Kennison Field.

After missing last week’s game, Elliott threw for 191 yards and gained 146 yards on the ground with two more scores.

After getting on the scoreboard first, the Bulldogs answered with five straight touchdowns to take a commanding lead, 35-7 in the second quarter.

Hermiston had success all night running the ball. Along with Elliott’s yards, Ben Larson gained 159 yards on 27 carries and a score, while Caden Hottman added another 112 yards on the ground. When the dust settled, Hermiston tallied 421 yards on the ground.

Elliott connected with 11 different receivers Friday night with senior Ayden Garay catching five for 72 yards.

Hermiston (1-6 in conference play, 1-7 overall) will play Hanford on the road on Friday.
