Bulldogs to Travel to St. Helens for Playoff Game

The regular season is over and now the Hermiston Bulldogs are gearing up for the first round of the state 5A playoffs set for Friday, Nov. 4.

The Bulldogs, coming off a thrilling 13-12 win over Pendleton last Friday, will travel to St. Helens on Friday to take on the Lions.

St. Helens comes into the game with an overall record of 7-2 with a 5-2 record in the 5A Northwest Oregon conference, while Hermiston enters the tilt with an overall 5-4 record and a 5-2 record in the 5A Special District 1 conference.

The Lions are seeded seventh while Hermiston is seeded 10th. The winner will take on the winner of the matchup between No. 2 seed Wilsonville and No. 15 seed Thurston.

The two teams had one common opponent during the regular season – Hood River Valley. St. Helens beat the Eagles in its first game of the season, 47-13, at Hood River. Hermiston traveled to Hood River on Sept. 30 and came away with a 36-6 win.

Kickoff for the game is set for 7 p.m.
