The Hermiston Bulldogs wrapped up their season Friday night with a 45-23 win in a crossover game against Cheney at Kennison Field.
Cheney got on the board first with a field goal late in the first, but Hermiston answered with 10 points in the second quarter.
The Bulldogs got the second half off to a bang when Justus Counsell returned the opening kick off 70 yards to give Hermiston a 17-3 lead to start the third quarter.
After recovering a fumble, Hermiston scored again on a short touchdown pass from Isaac Corey to Jaime Ramirez-Ortega.
Midway through the third, Corey hit Alex Garcia on a 15-yard pass to make it 31-3. Cheney scored its first touchdown of the night early in the third on a 16-yard touchdown pass, but Hermiston answered back minutes later with a short run by Jaxson Gribskov to make it 38-9.
The two teams traded touchdowns late in the game, with Cheney converting a 2-point conversion to at the end to finish the scoring.
The Bulldogs finished the year with an overall record of 4-6 and a conference record of 3-5.
