The C2 Cattle Company offers six lucky youth the opportunity to hunt spring turkeys on its ranch near Medford.
Deadline to apply is March 1 at 11:59 p.m. and winners notified March 4.
To be eligible, hunters must be 17 or under on the day of the hunt and have a valid hunting license and spring turkey tag. Youth hunters enrolled in the Mentored Youth Hunter Program can apply but cannot hunt youth weekend (April 9-10).
Winning youth get a one-day guided hunt and an additional unguided day if needed (two days total) on the C2 Ranch.
C2 provides the guide, and a parent or other unarmed adult may accompany the youth hunter. The Ranch coordinates the hunts and tries to accommodate requests for hunting dates to the best of their ability.
The ranch offers this unique youth turkey hunt in partnership with the Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife’s Access and Habitat Program and the Rogue Valley Chapter of the Oregon Hunters Association.
The C2 Cattle Company is a 10,000 acre ranch just 25 minutes east of Medford. It is a conservation minded cattle ranch with a vision of preserving the land and natural resources including wildlife while running a working cattle ranch.
The spring youth turkey hunt is April 9-10 and the general spring turkey season is April 15 – May 31.
