The Eisenhower Cadets, aided by a big game by Malachi Spurrier, turned back the Hermiston Bulldogs in a nonleague game Friday night, 20-14.
The Cadets (3-4) took the lead in the first quarter when Spurrier intercepted a Sam Schwirse pass and returned it 55 yard for a touchdown.
After failing to find the end zone in the first half, the Bulldogs evened up the score in the third quarter on a 4-yard run by Daniel Faaeteete.
The Cadets struck back when quarterback Justice Dean hit Spurrier on a 68-yard scoring pass in the third to give Eisenhower a 14-7 lead.
Hermiston tied the game in the fourth on a 7-yard touchdown run by Aidan Villarreal before Eisenhower found the end zone for the winning score on a 1-yard run by Nahum Garent.
Villarreal finished the game with 106 yards on 19 carries for Hermiston.
The Bulldogs (1-5) return to conference play on Friday when they host the 4-3 Hanford Falcons at Kennison Field.
