Cameron Rome of Hermiston Passes Away at 27

Cameron E. Rome passed away on Nov. 11, 2017 in Kennewick, Wash. at the age of 27.

He was born on Aug. 4, 1990 in Las Vegas, Nev.

He moved to Hermiston in 1999, where he attended school and graduated from Hermiston High School in the class of 2008. He enjoyed playing football and was a gifted mathematics student. After high school, he attended Oregon State University for one year after being accepted into the engineering program at 17 years old, and returned home to attend Blue Mountain Community College for an additional year prior to entering the work world.

He met Myriam Sanchez in 2010, and the couple were united in marriage on May 12, 2012 in Boardman.

Cameron enjoyed playing video games, helping family members, especially his grandparents, hosting family events, barbequing and baking, and most especially spending time with his two sons.

He is survived by his sons, TreySean Rome and Nathaniel Rome; Myriam Rome; parents, Jesus and Dawn Rome; brother, Anthony Rome (Kaitlynn) and children Jonathon and Annie; brother, Kyler Barton (Emily); sister, Jada Rome; aunt, Danielle Conran; maternal grandparents, Karen and Jack Duffee; paternal grandparents, Virginia and Manuel Garcia and Donald and Dee Rome; Anna Frost; and a wealth of amazing and adoring aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and distant family members who loved Cameron beyond measure. Our lives will never be the same without him.

A family viewing will be held from 4 to7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 16, 2017, and a memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 17, 2017, both at the Burns Mortuary Chapel, 685 W. Hermiston Ave. There will also be a memorial reception to follow, with location to be announced.
