There will be a Candidates’ Forum on Wednesday, April 11 at Armand Larive Middle School, 1497 S.W. Ninth St. in Hermiston. The evening will begin at 5:30 with refreshments and the chance to meet the candidates.
The Hermiston City Council forum starts at 6 p.m. with candidates for ward positions #1, #2, #3 and #4. For Ward #1, Mark Gomolski and Jackie Linten are running against incumbent Lori Davis; for Ward #2, Shean Fitzgerald and Roy Barren are running; for Ward #3, Kyran Miller is running against incumbent Jackie Meyers; and for Ward #4, Michael Engelbrecht is running against incumbent Doug Smith.
The forum for County Commissioner positions #1 and #2 begins at 7:30. Tom Bailer and Rick Pullen are running against incumbent George Murdock for Position #1; and John Shafer is running against incumbent Larry Givens for Position #2.
