Carolyn J. Coke of Stanfield passed away peacefully on Christmas Day at the age of 84.

Carolyn was born on Dec. 1, 1937 in Magna, Utah to Robert and Josephine Tuck.

Carolyn spent her early years in Utah and graduated from Ben Lomond High School. She married Gordon Bailey in 1956 and started their family. The family moved to Stanfield in 1966, Forest Grove in 1973, and eventually Hillsboro. Carolyn worked as a living skills instructor for the developmentally disabled, a job she loved. Her husband, Gordon died unexpectedly in 1992. In 1998 she married Archie Coke of Tillamook. Carolyn returned to Stanfield with Archie. They enjoyed retirement around family, gardening, fishing, camping, ATVs and RV-ing. She loved playing cards and was a voracious reader.

Carolyn was active in sorority, an avid golfer and bowler, and enjoyed snow and water skiing and fishing.

She is survived by husband, Archie; children, Brad Bailey, Lynda Lester, Guy Bailey, Kristina Peterson, Jim Bailey and Gordon Bailey Jr.; two stepdaughters, Kellie Dotter and Kelsey Bailey; and numerous grand and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and in-laws.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Tuck and Josephine Langan; her sister, Diane; and brother, Dennis.

A celebration of Carolyn’s life is planned for a future date.
