The week of March 24–31 is National Farmworker Awareness Week, and Oregon Human Development Corporation is participating in the annual National Long-Sleeve Shirt Drive to bring awareness to heat-related illnesses and pesticide exposure farmworkers face.

Now through March 31, the public can drop off new or gently used light-colored, natural cotton long-sleeve shirts at the Boardman Chamber of Commerce, 101 Olson Road and at Oregon Human Development Corporation, 955 S.E. Fourth St., Suite A in Hermiston. OHDC is also asking for sunscreen and ChapStick donations. For more information, go online or call 541-701-0550.
