When employees miss work due to illness or injury, it impacts the bottom line. In fact, businesses nationwide pay more than $1 billion every week in direct and indirect costs due to employee absenteeism.

This month’s Hermiston Chamber of Commerce Business to Business Luncheon will focus on health and wellness tips for local businesses. Juli Gregory of Good Shepherd Medical Center and Janet Jones from the Umatilla County Health Department will give a presentation on how local businesses can build a culture of wellness to prevent costly disease and boost employee health and productivity while improving the bottom line.

The luncheon will be held at 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday, March 25 at the Hermiston Conference Center. The cost is $10 for chamber members and $13 for nonmembers. For more information, call the chamber at 541-567-6151.
