The Farm-City Pro Rodeo crowned its winners Saturday during championship night with Rhen Richard taking home the all-around title and Jake Rinehart claiming the Mike Currin Memorial Buckle after winning the steer wrestling contest.
Richard took the all-around title by earning the most money in multiple events during the four-day rodeo. Richard took home cash in the team roping and tie-down roping categories.
Rinehart’s combined time of 12.6 on two head was good enough for the steer wrestling title.
In bull riding, five of the 11 riders made it to the bell with Steve Woolsey chalking up the best score of the week on Saturday with an 88-point ride.
In saddle bronc, Rusty Wright and Samuel Kelts shared the title with scores of 83, while Redmond’s Steven Peebles won the bareback contest with an 87 on the night’s final ride to edge out Bobby Mote, Kaycee Feild and first-night leader, J.R. Vezain, who each notched scores of 86.
No one could catch Carlee Pierce in barrel racing. Pierce won the event on Wednesday’s opening night of the rodeo with a combined time of 16.92 on two goes.
In team roping, Charly Crawford and Shay Carroll claimed the title with a combined time of 9.4 seconds on two rides. They had a 5.2 on their first go and a 4.2 on their second.
Clint Robinson was the tie-down winner with a combined time of 16.9 on two goes.
And in mutton bustin’, Hermiston’s Addison McClure, 5, took home the title.
