Cheryl Fay Pollick of Hermiston (formerly of Stanfield) passed away on Feb. 28, 2021 in Kennewick, Wash. at the age of 63.
She was born on April 8, 1957 in Walla Walla, Wash. to Ralph and Esther (Phillips) Parrish.
Cheryl lived in Walla Walla and Pilot Rock before the family settled in Stanfield. She attended school in Stanfield and graduated from Stanfield High School in the class of 1974. Cheryl married Leon Ray Pollick in Stanfield on June 4, 1977. The couple resided in Stanfield for many years, where they raised their family. In 2009, the couple moved to the Treasure Valley area of Idaho, where they lived for several years. They returned to Hermiston in June 2020. Cheryl worked as a teacher at the Hermiston Christian Center for many years. While living in Idaho, she worked as a computer technician for Hewlett Packard.
Cheryl loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her family was the center of her life. She also was passionate about serving at church, working with kids in Sunday school, Missionettes, and anywhere else help was needed. They attended Hermiston Christian Center, and she loved to take her grandkids and great grandkids with her.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Leon; daughter, Sandra (RJ) Francis, Dean (Tia) Pollick, Johnny (Tiffany) Pollick and Jeffrey (Sandra) Pollick; 19 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; sisters, Terri Day and Robin Huxoll; brother, Butch Parrish; and many extended family members.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at the Pleasant View Cemetery in Stanfield.
