City of Hermiston, American Legion to Host Veterans Day Breakfast

The city of Hermiston and American Legion Post 37 will host a Veterans Day Breakfast on Friday, Nov. 11, from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the Hermiston Community Center. 

The free event honors all veterans, active-duty service men and women, and their families. 

The breakfast will be catered by The Pheasant Blue Collar Bar & Grill and will feature a slide show of local veterans. Anyone can submit a photo for the slide show to Kelly Schwirse at kschwirse@hermiston.or.us and is asked to include the first and last name of the person in the picture. 

This event is hosted by the Hermiston Parks & Recreation Department. It is sponsored by Kiwanis of Hermiston, Rogers Toyota, Lamb Weston, Umatilla Electric, Burns Mortuary of Hermiston, and Barnett & Moro, P.C.

Veterans Day is a federal holiday to honor American veterans for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good.
