Rural Civic Engagement Training is coming to Hermiston this fall, helping residents better understand the way local government operates while empowering them to tackle community needs.
The training is presented by the city of Hermiston and Rural Development Initiatives. The five-week course will cover running for office, building coalitions, defining your message, and creating an action plan.
The first class is on Sept. 30 and will continue through Oct. 28.
