The city of Irrigon has announced an opportunity for residents within the 97844 zip code to assist in cleaning and beautifying their properties following the May 30 storm.
There will be a two-phased approach for clearing removed trees and debris. Phase 1 involves preparation of downed trees by residents for city removal, and hauling of trimmings and limbs by residents within the city limits to the Hermiston transfer station with a free yard debris permit. Phase 2 involves a city council meeting on June 16 to discuss possible funding options.
