The Umatilla Parks and Recreation Department is offering some fun craft and sports opportunities for kids over the next few months. Visit the city website for more information about the following activities:
- Hand-curated craft kits recommended for ages 7 and up can be picked up curb-side at the Umatilla Public Library. They sell for $10 and include nature, STEM and art activities, as well as some fun surprises. Some parental guidance might be needed.
- Early bird registration for NFL flag football (ages 5-14) is under way for Umatilla residents through Feb. 14. Non-residents may begin registering on Feb. 15. The parks department is looking for volunteer coaches and paid referees for the season.
- Registration is also open for Skyhawks basketball and soccer camps for ages 7-12. Scholarships are available for Umatilla residents only. To discuss scholarship opportunities, email hannah@umatilla-city.org or call 541-922-3226, extension 113.
