Clarence Novala Glover of Irrigon passed away at his home on March 27, 2023 at the age of 67.
He was born on Sept. 4, 1955 in Mineral Wells, Texas to Novala and Edith Shires Glover.
As a child, Clarence moved with his family to California, graduating from high school in Eureka, Calif. in the class of 1973. In 1978 he joined the U.S. Navy, where he served until his honorable discharge in 1984. He then moved to Eastern Oregon, making Hermiston his home for many years. In 1998 he moved to Irrigon, where he had resided for the past 25 years.
Clarence worked at Lamb Weston for several years, where he met his wife, Sharon. He then took a job at the Walmart Distribution Center, where he worked for 19 years. He married Sharon on April 1, 2005 in Irrigon. After retiring from Walmart, he volunteered as an ambulance driver for the Irrigon Ambulance Service for the last five years.
Clarence enjoyed watching NASCAR racing and was a Dallas Cowboys fan. He was fond of long walks on the ocean beaches, watching the sunset with his wife. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon; daughters, Tracy Wainwright, Tiffany Thompson and Crystal Hussey; nine grandsons, Cameron, Taylor, Logan, Adrian, Nathan, Ryan, Kaidan, Colton and Easton; three great-grandsons, Ronny, Braxton and Noah; brother, Steve Glover; sisters, Rachel Woodward, Dianne Keeling and Melissa Jordan; and many extended family members.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 31, 2023 at 2 p.m. at the Hermiston Cemetery.
