Classic car lovers could be excused if they were caught in Echo drooling Saturday. After all what else are they supposed to do when confronted with nearly 150 vintage vehicles on display in all their glory?
Downtown Echo was teeming with people Saturday afternoon during the annual car show presented by the A.C.E. Car Club of Echo High School. The event, which drew 148 entries, featured cars from the 1920s up through the 2000s – from Chevy Bel Airs to Studebaker Larks to an ’09 Dodge Challenger and everything in between. Trophies, custom made by the high school students, were awarded to 18 different classifications. The club raised just over $3,500 to help fund its annual trip to the Portland Roadster show.
