Cole John Hofbauer of Hermiston passed away at his home in Hermiston on July 30, 2022 at the age of 21.
He was born on Dec. 14, 2000 in Didsbury, Alberta, Canada.
Cole was raised in Hermiston, where he attended schools in both Hermiston and Umatilla. He loved working with his hands and being outdoors. Cole was studying for his applicators license to pursue his true love, which was working with Dennis Winters at DW Ag Service.
Cole had a huge heart, and gave the best hugs that were true and genuine and a smile that was contagious. Cole loved his family, music, dirt bikes and anything with a motor. He enjoyed kayaking, fishing, hunting and being with his many friends.
Cole is survived by his parents, Matt and Christy Hofbauer; his brother, Stephen Hofbauer; grandparents, Roy and Diana Woolliams of Airdrie, Alberta and Stephen and Laura Hofbauer of Hermiston; aunts and uncles, Larry and Kortney Woolliams of Airdrie, Alberta, Philip Hofbauer of Ukiah, John and Misty Hofbauer of Hermiston, Sarah Hofbauer of Pilot Rock and Monica Blankenship of Stanfield; and cousins, Bobbi and Gaige Phillips of Hermiston, Madilyn Hofbauer of Bothell, Wash., Cody Hofbauer of Hermiston, Deven Hofbauer of Denver, Colo., Paige Woolliams of Airdrie, Alberta, Ashlyn Hofbauer of Hermiston, Trace Woolliams of Airdrie, Alberta and Emmet Hofbauer of Pilot Rock.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
