Hermiston School District will host the first annual elementary and middle school College/Career Family Night.
The event will be held Thursday, April 3, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Armand Larive Middle School Commons.
Representatives from area trade schools, community colleges, and universities will be on hand to present materials and information regarding post-secondary education options. Businesses and organizations from the greater eastern Oregon and southeast Washington area will also be present to share the variety of jobs available within their workplace, as well as the pathways to those careers.
Workshops will take place every 30 minutes for parents and students to learn about financing college, including savings, grants, scholarships, student loans, and work study.
