The Oregon Volunteers Commission for Voluntary Action and Service is inviting the public to a discussion about volunteering and engaging in the community.
The event will take place from 9 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 30 at Good Shepherd Medical Center. The commission wants to hear from local community members about what is working well and what needs to be addressed in order to strengthen local volunteer engagement.
The goal of the discussion is to identify and prioritize community needs and determine the role government should play in supporting volunteerism.
Registration is available online.
