The Greater Hermiston Community Foundation (GHCF) has awarded grants to 14 local community organizations totaling more than $100,000.

The funds support projects that will have a lasting and positive impact on the communities of Hermiston, Umatilla, Stanfield, Echo, and Irrigon.

“We are extremely pleased to be investing these sustaining funds into projects that will pay dividends for years to come,” said GHCF Board Chair Greg Harris. “The organizations that received grants are an integral part of our community and provide services and programs that enrich all our lives. We’re honored to be a conduit to use the generous donations from the community to support their work.”

Through the competitive grant process, the GHCF selected projects that create a lasting benefit to the greater Hermiston area through education and youth programs, health and wellness initiatives, arts and cultural enrichment activities, and more. Eleven projects were funded through the GHCF forever fund and three were funded through the Wilcox Family Fund.

Below are the projects funded by the GHCF grants in 2024. Projects partially or fully funded through the Wilcox Family Fund are indicated by an asterisk.
