Constance G. “Connie” Papineau Jones died on Aug. 28, 2020 at her home in Lexington at the age of 68.
She was born on Aug. 14, 1952 in Heppner to Ray and Gloria Orwick Papineau.
Connie was raised and lived her entire life in Lexington. She was united in marriage to Kenneth “Kenny” Jones on Sept. 5, 1992 in Lexington.
Connie was a member of the Heppner Elks Lodge. In her younger years, she was a jockey at the race track. She enjoyed golfing, traveling, playing cards, hunting, camping and most of all, cherished time spent with her family. Connie enjoyed watching her sons and daughters-in-law rodeo and grandchildren junior rodeo, as well as watching their sporting events.
She is survived by her husband, Kenny Jones, Lexington; children, Shawn (Chandra) Eng, Stanfield, Shane (Rebecca) Eng, Benton City, Wash., Bruce (Barbara) Eng, Pennsylvania, Michael C. Jones, Pasco, Wash. and Christopher Jones, Redmond; parents, Ray and Gloria Papineau, Lexington; brothers, Curtis Papineau, Lexington and Calvin Papineau, Pasco, Wash.; sisters, Candace Gates, Lexington, Carmen Wilson, Lexington, Crystal Dale, Hamilton, Mont. and Cammie Jones, Hamilton, Mont.; 12 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Connie was preceded in death by her first husband, Louie “Tic” Eng, and sons, Louie Eng Jr. and Shad D. Eng.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Friday, Sept. 4, 2020 at 11 a.m. at the Lexington Cemetery, following state guidelines.
