Cops Arrest Driver for Allegedly Crashing into Business

Five days after a vehicle crashed into the side Eastern Oregon Mobile Slaughter, police have arrested the man allegedly responsible for the accident.

In the early morning hours of June 14, according to the Hermiston Police Department, a vehicle crashed into the west side of EOMS before leaving the scene of the accident. After seeking out Loreto R. Ramos at his place of employment in Prescott, Wash., detectives took him down to the police department on Wednesday, June 18 to interview about the hit-and-run crash.

After giving an account of what happened, Ramos was arrested on charges of failure to perform the duties of a driver involved in an accident, second-degree criminal mischief and reckless driving. He was also charged with failure to appear on several charges from 2000, including unlawful use of a motor vehicle, theft, reckless driving and attempting to elude.

Ramos was lodged in the Umatilla County Jail.
