The Hermiston City Council will have a light agenda when it convenes this evening at City Hall.

The council will consider an amendment to Eastern Oregon Telecom’s franchise. According to Hermiston Assistant City Manager Mark Morgan, EOT approached the city about a new “TV over the Internet” service that it intends to bring to the area.

The council will also consider a request to confirm two people to the Faith-Based Advisory Committee. Rev. Gene Berrey of the Solid Rock Community Church recently resigned from the committee and Dr. Dean Hackett, the committee’s chairman, is requesting expanding the committee by one member with the confirmation of Rev. James Lafolette of the Oasis of Hope Church and Rev. Craig Fraley of the First Christian Church to the committee.

The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. tonight.
