On the early morning of Saturday, March 12, 2016, Cynthia “Cindi” Jo Taylor, was lovingly called to her Lord and Savior, surrounded by her husband and six children.
She was born on Oct. 22, 1951. She was 64 years old.
She was survived by her husband, Gene Taylor; daughters, Jessica Flower, Janna Padberg, Crystal Davis, Katie Standifer, and Amber Schwartz; son, Daniel Taylor; step-children, Mark Taylor and Michelle Teune; brothers, Chris and John Robarge; sisters, Ruth Graham and Rhonda Staub; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was also survived by her precious pets, Maggie, Tripod, Ernie, Bob and Sassy. She has reunited with her predeceased parents, nephew, and beloved pets in heaven.
Cindi was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, relative, and friend to many. She loved and talked about her Jesus and how he is so good and forgiving.
She owned a small business called Cynthia’s Elegant Cakes. She loved to bake and decorate elegant wedding and birthday cakes, colossal muffins, and anything else that included butter, flower and sugar.
She was a performer and singer for many years. She loved to be on stage and sing country music, following in her father’s footsteps. She played on the same stage as many country artists, including Martina McBride, Alabama, and Diamond Rio. She was proud and ecstatic to be the opening act for Willie Nelson and Diamond Rio. She and her daughters performed together in their band, “Cheyenne,” and performed all around the state of Oregon in 1998 – 2000.
She found peace in gardening and talking to her Jesus; greatly enjoyed drinking her early morning coffee; reading; spending time with her beloved animals; composing songs; making jewelry; painting; making sugar statues; collecting cat statues and trinkets; going on long walks with her children; bragging about her grandchildren; managing a fan site in honor of her father’s music; researching genealogy and learning about her Native American heritage. She loved her grandchildren greatly and enjoyed every minute spent with them.
A celebration of life service was held on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at the Hermiston Christian Center.
Burial will follow at the Hermiston Cemetery.
