Darreld ‘Butch’ Magallon
Darreld “Butch” Magallon II died on Nov. 28, 2014 at his home in Hermiston at the age of 47.

He was born on Nov. 18, 1967 in Moscow, Idaho. Butch was raised in Boise and later Potlatch, Idaho, graduating in the class of 1986. He then worked in carpentry in Seattleand later Sun Valley, Idaho. Butch moved to Hermiston in 2002 where he has lived since. He was currently working for the Umatilla County Housing Authority. Butch married Joy Crist on April 1, 2006 in Umatilla. He was the president of the West End Pool League. Butch was an avid fisherman and enjoyed playing pool.

He is survived by his wife, Joy Magallon, Hermiston; mother, Wilma Stone and her husband, Andy, Boise, Idaho; father, Darreld Magallon Sr, Hermiston; sister, Teresa Magallon, Phoenix; stepchildren, Becky Hunt, Echo, Steven Kitchens, Spokane, Wash., and Mike Kitchens, Berea, Ky.; and five grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Burns Mortuary Chapel, Hermiston.
