The deadline to apply for a seat on the Hermiston Hispanic Advisory Committee has been extended to May 30.
There are three upcoming openings on the committee.
The openings are for positions 1, 2 and 3, currently held by committee members Manuel Gutierrez, Virginia Garcia and Eddie de la Cruz. The three-year terms will run from July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2017.
Preference will be given to Hermiston residents, though applicants need not be city residents. Applications are available at Hermiston City Hall. Committee applicants will be selected by the Hermiston City Council.
