Deadline Looms for Hermiston’s Distinguished Service Nominations

Excitement continues to build as the Good Shepherd Community Health Foundation prepares to host the 54th annual Distinguished Service Awards.

The deadline for award nominations is Friday, March 1. Categories include man, woman, business and first responder of the year, as well as the Community Champion. Also, Executive Director Liz Marvin said the Outstanding Young Citizen award is returning this year. It will be presented to a community member who is under 21 from Hermiston, Echo or Stanfield.

The community celebration is March 20, 5:30 p.m. at the community center. Cookin’ Spoo Style will serve tri-tip beef. Tickets are $50 and are available at the Hermiston Community Center, 415 S. Highway 395.
