Delores Elva Dummert of Hermiston passed away in Hermiston on Dec. 26, 2021 at the age of 88.
She was born on Dec. 13, 1933 in Lebanon to Steven and Florence Evans Carroll.
Delores grew up in Lebanon, where she attended school and graduated from Lebanon High School. In 1952 she met Eugene Dummert, and the couple were united in marriage on June 27, 1952 in Lebanon. They lived in Springfield from the early 1960s through the early 1970s. They moved to Hermiston in the late 1970s for a time. They later lived in California and Arizona before moving back to Hermiston in 2008.
Delores was a lifelong Lutheran and attended Trinity Lutheran Church in Hermiston. She always remembered family and friends’ birthdays and special events by sending them a card.
She is survived by a daughter, Peggy Dummert; sister, Norma Brady; brother, Richard Carroll; seven grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eugene in 2009; son, Theodore Robert Dummert in 1988; and a daughter, Margie Louise Phillips.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 3, 2022 in the Hermiston Cemetery.
