Diane Marie Payne Hansen passed away on Feb. 9, 2023 at Trios Hospital in Kennewick, Wash. at the age of 81.
She was born on Jan. 3, 1942.
She was a member of the American Legion Post 37 Auxiliary and hosted the Girls State program for a while. She contributed to many organizations to help the needy.
Diane’s life was centered around her personal love for family and impersonal love to all others. Her love for all came from the integrity in her soul. She will be remembered and missed by family, friends, and those that she touched.
She is survived by her husband, Alfred J. Hansen of Irrigon; two sisters, Myrna Smith of Wenatchee, Wash. and Marvel Myers of Waterville, Wash.; son, Randall G. Hansen of Spanaway, Wash.; three daughters, Sandra L. McAlvey of Irrigon, and Jonell K. Hansen and Katherine M. Hansen of Springfield, Ill; as well as nine grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Doss Payne; mother, Eva Payne; and two brothers, Doss Jr. and Giles Payne.
