The Hermiston School District will hold a special ceremony this morning to commemorate the sale of the first student-built home.
The 2,200-square-foot home was purchased by former school district teachers, Tim and Linda Turner. The ceremony today will take place at 11 a.m. at the house, located at 895 W. Angus Court.
The home was built by students in the Columbia Basin Student Homebuilder Program and the selling price was $330,033. The proceeds from the sale will be used to build the next student-built home.
The public is invited to today’s ceremony, which will include a tour of the home. For more information, call the school district at 541-667-6000.
