Donald Roland Albert of Hermiston passed away on Sept. 28, 2018 in Walla Walla, Wash. at the age of 81.
He was born on Feb. 9, 1937 in Pendleton to Roland and Alice Case Albert.
Don grew up and attended school in Pendleton. After high school, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps and served for four years. He attended Eastern Oregon State College in La Grande after his military service. He lived in the Portland area for several years but returned to Eastern Oregon in 1973 when he moved to Hermiston. He owned and operated Quimby Trucking in Hermiston for many years.
Don was an instructor and held a black belt in judo. He enjoyed hunting and target shooting. He had a deep faith in God and was involved in prison ministry for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Donna; daughters, Lori Albert and Michelle Christy; brother, Steve Albert; grandchildren, Candice, Rochelle, Faith, Elisabeth and Jeremy; and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Teresa; and a sister, Kathy.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018 in the Burns Mortuary Chapel, 685 W. Hermiston Ave.
