Douglas J. “Doug” Gehlen of Umatilla died on Aug. 21, 2019 in Hermiston at the age of 69.
He was born on Sept. 28, 1949 in Ellensburg, Wash. to Charles J. Gehlen, M.D. and Patricia J. Tully Gehlen.
Doug served in the United States Air Force from 1968 until retiring in 1989 as master sergeant. He then owned and operated a long-haul trucking business from 1990 until 2006.
A private family burial with military honors was held at Sunset Hills Cemetery, Umatilla.
